Meet The Creative Crew

This summer, Riffraff has four new Creative Interns! Traveling from all over, these girls are here to work on social media, write blogs, create emails, and help with anything else around RiffraffHQ. I took the pleasure in asking my fellow interns some questions so you can get to know them a little better! Let’s meet the Creative Intern girlies!

First, is Carley. She goes to University of Arkansas and is majoring in Advertising and Public Relations.

Q: What show are you currently binge-watching on Netflix?

A: The Following.

Q: What’s your latest fashion obsession?

A: Jean Jackets! They’re so easy and comfy and makes any outfit immediately trendier.

Q: Go-to lunch spot?

A: Hammontrees.

Q: Since this internship focuses a lot on social media, what’s your favorite social media platform and why?

A: Twitter and Pinterest! Twitter allows me to be witty and to the point. Since I’m a visual person, I love all the pictures and graphics on there.

Q: If you could sing one song on American Idol, what would it be?

A: Anything Beyoncé if I had equal talent. #QueenBey

Q: What are you most looking forward to working as a Creative Intern for Riffraff this summer?

A: Learning more about the relationship between Riffraff and social media and how to take advantage of that relationship.

Next up, is Kylie. Kylie is a senior from Oklahoma State University and is majoring in Apparel Merchandising with a minor in Marketing.

Q: What show are you currently binge-watching on Netflix?

A: Reign!!

Q: What’s your latest fashion obsession?

A: Layered necklaces.

Q: Go-to lunch spot?

A: Chipotle is my life *vine reference*

Q: Since this internship focuses a lot on social media, what’s your favorite social media platform and why?

A: Instagram because of the photography and I love getting to follow all my friends’ life and adventures even if I’m not with them. I also love Pinterest because I can create various boards about what I’m passionate about and I draw a lot of inspiration from Pinterest.

Q: If you could sing one song on American Idol, what would it be?

A: Wannabe by Spice Girls. Can you say #classic?

Q: What are you most looking forward to working as a Creative Intern for Riffraff this summer?

A: I’m excited to be pushed creatively, collaborating with other interns since we all have our own styles, and watching what we work on come into play on social media platforms!

Phoebe, a Marketing major at University of Kansas is next!

Q: What show are you currently binge-watching on Netflix?

A: Currently rekindling the fire with Grey’s Anatomy! Been a loyal watcher since the beginning but fell off after Derek died (RIP bae)

Q: What’s your latest fashion obsession?

A: I’ve been having a moment with Adidas Superstars since December.

Q: Go-to lunch spot?

A: On lazy days, always Chick-fil-A or Panera…. lame but true.

Q: Since this internship focuses a lot on social media, what’s your favorite social media platform and why?

A: Instagram and Tumblr! I love photography and editing and Instagram really lets me share that with other people. Tumblr is unique from other platforms because of the content and variety it offers. I love being able to get personal and focus on what I love on Tumblr.

Q: If you could sing one song on American Idol, what would it be?

A: Kiss by Prince or any Drake song.

Q: What are you most looking forward to working as a Creative Intern for Riffraff this summer?

A: Making awesome creative content and being a part of such an awesome and inspirational company like Riffraff!

Last, is myself! My name is Kara and I’m a Fashion Merchandising major from University of South Carolina.

Q: What show are you currently binge-watching on Netflix?

A: Friends for probably the third time…

Q: What’s your latest fashion obsession?

A: I’m in a big 70s phase currently (The Beatles are on repeat 24/7) so I’ve been really drawing inspiration from that decade. My bell bottom jeans are my go-to piece right now.

Q: Go-to lunch spot?

A: Any place involving tacos.

Q: Since this internship focuses a lot on social media, what’s your favorite social media platform and why?

A: Snapchat is definitely my favorite! It’s so easy to use and gives everyone a quick glance into your daily life.

Q: If you could sing one song on American Idol, what would it be?

A: Big fan of the classics – Sweet Child O’ Mine or Aaron’s Party.

Q: What are you most looking forward to working as a Creative Intern for Riffraff this summer?

A: I’m excited to learn more about social media and graphics and how to apply them to businesses! Also, to work alongside some insanely talented people and to experience Fayetteville!
